Let me tell you a bit about myself; I've been living in the Brevard County area for the past 7 years. I was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised on the west coast of Florida. I attended the University of Florida where I majored in Criminology, then attended Law School at Southern Illinois University. Once passing the bar in Illinois, I practiced personal injury law until I grew tired of digging my car out of snow and ice. I decided it was time to take the Florida bar exam and move back to the sunshine state! I have worked extensively with victims of domestic violence, assisting them obtain orders of protection. I've also represented respondents who have been served with a protection order and need representation at final hearings. During my employment at the State Attorney's Office in Brevard County, I prosecuted hundreds of cases and gained invaluable trial experience, as well as a familiarity with the courthouse, local Judges and other staff. I have also represented clients in divorce and custody actions, from inception through to trial, In the domestic relations area I have also litigated for relief after a final judgment has been entered, such as in a motion for contempt or enforcement, and I've assisted clients in child support hearings and motions to abate. Finally, I have assisted numerous clients with the drafting of their wills, simple trusts, and other important documents that govern their assets, children or health care. My past experiences working on such varied types of cases has allowed me to develop a diverse practice that is not limited to one specific area of the law. My personal interests are as varied; I enjoy spending time with my family, getting beachside whenever possible, rollerblading, catching a Gator game, reading a good book, cooking, and watching old re-runs of my favorite shows on Netflix. I am always excited to meet a new client, to get to know more people in my community as well as to help them with whatever legal issue they may be facing.
